Today we celebrated St Joseph's Feast Day. At 8.45 am a Liturgy was planned by the Year 1 teachers and students. Many parents joined with the students and teachers. Our School is very privileged to honour St Joseph
Catholic tradition honours the feast of Saint Joseph as the husband of Mary on March 19 The March 19 date is of comparatively recent years (1621) and is formally named the Solemnity of Saint Joseph Spouse of The Blessed Virgin Mary, the traditional day in the Western Church.

Uncle Ted from Jarara came out to visit today, we sat together and talked about their culture. The stories that shaped their people, the land that holds their history, and the totems that carry meaning through generations. Uncle Ted shared what he knew, and the students asked lots of questions, and found new ideas connecting their identity. From those conversations, a creative spark took hold. Together they explored ways to bring those ideas to life through art sketching and painting. It became a meaningful exchange: culture passed on not just through talking, but through making.

Yesterday, a contingent of our Year 6 Faith in Action team participated in LIFTED Junior. This was an opportunity for students to encounter Jesus through music, testimony, discussion and prayer. The event allowed students to explore and deepen their faith and reflection on how their personal gifts call them to mission and service. It was wonderful to see our leaders so engaged in this important part of their faith formation.

🌅 Lest We Forget 🌅 This morning, as the sun rose over Riverstone, students from St Joseph’s Primary School Schofields stood alongside our community at the Riverstone Dawn Service to honour the ANZAC spirit. In the quiet of the early morning, our young people bowed their heads in remembrance of the men and women who served and sacrificed for our nation. ANZAC Day Liturgy Today, our school community came together in prayer and reflection as we held a special ANZAC Day Liturgy to honour and remember the brave men and women who have served our country.
