It was an absolute pleasure to accompany our Stage 2 Touch football teams to the Parramatta Diocesan Touch Gala day held at St. Marys last Friday.

Both teams were outstandingly well behaved and represented our school beautifully both on and off the field.
The boys team came runner up in their pool, losing only 1 of the 6 games played. Many tries were scored throughout the day and they truly were a force to be reckoned with!
The girls team also demonstrated great skill and won many of their games.

A huge thank you goes out to each member of the team for their dedication to training and for making me the proudest teacher at the gala day. You were all amazing!
Thank you also to our brilliant Year 6 referees, Charlotte Grima and Stephanie Attard, you were the youngest referees there yet two of the most skilled and competent. You also represented our school beautifully, thank you again!
Finally thank you to our awesome parent coaches, Mr Samuels, Mrs Grima and Mrs Wilson and our fantastic cheer squad, we could not have done it without you!
I can't wait till we do it all again next year.
Well done St. Joseph's!

Uncle Ted from Jarara came out to visit today, we sat together and talked about their culture. The stories that shaped their people, the land that holds their history, and the totems that carry meaning through generations. Uncle Ted shared what he knew, and the students asked lots of questions, and found new ideas connecting their identity. From those conversations, a creative spark took hold. Together they explored ways to bring those ideas to life through art sketching and painting. It became a meaningful exchange: culture passed on not just through talking, but through making.
