Well done to all our netball teams! They played in the true spirit of a gala day and a fun day was had by all.
Our teams did us proud displaying great skills, team spirit and by being good sports.
Thank you to all our wonderful parents and other volunteers who coached, managed, scored and umpired, as well as those who came to support and encourage the teams..
A big thank you to Mrs Crane who spent many of our school breaks leading up to the day training all the teams..
We had some great results all round......
Our junior girls team was undefeated!.
Our junior boys had some tough competition and close scores, showing lots of determination and improvement as the day went on..
Our senior girls 11 were on fire, finishing second in their pool..
Our senior girls 12 started the day strong with a couple of wins. They played their hearts out being down a player for most of the day, with an unfortunate injury to one of their players..

CHARACTER STRENGTHS We need to understand the importance of character strengths because these foundational qualities shape our children's development far beyond academic achievements. During these formative years, children are building the core traits that will influence their relationships, decision-making, and resilience throughout their lives. Understanding character strengths helps parents recognise and nurture their children's natural abilities while supporting growth in areas that might need development. For instance, when parents understand how kindness or perseverance contributes to their child's wellbeing, they can create opportunities to practice these strengths through daily activities and conversations. These character strengths serve as protective factors against challenges children may face. A child who has developed gratitude might cope better with disappointment, while one who has cultivated bravery might handle peer pressure more effectively. Parents who understand this can actively support their children through difficulties by helping them draw upon their character strengths. We are looking forward to seeing all the different character strengths we are growing at St Joseph's tomorrow.

Huge congratulations to Josh who competed at the 2025 School Sports Australia Track and Field Championships at the AIS in Canberra, winning BOTH the 100m and 200m events - making him officially the fastest under 10 in Australia! 'Tis the Season to spread Christmas Cheer! Mrs Crane & The Faith in Action Team have been busy making beautiful hand made Christmas Cards. There is nothing more special than sending your loved ones a card made with love this Christmas! Come to the Parent Pick-up Gate next week to purchase some. Please note these can be purchased with EFTPOS only. All proceeds will be donated to Fr Chris Riley Youth off the Streets.

During Term 4 we have been focusing on the Catholic Social Teaching of ‘Preferential Option for the Poor’. As part of living out this Teaching we are supporting our Local Parish Mary Immaculate and the Stanhope Gardens/Quakers Hill St Vincent De Paul Conference with creating Christmas Food Hampers. These Christmas Food Hampers will be distributed to families in need in our local community this Christmas Time. We will be collecting different items over the next three weeks. Your donations will be greatly appreciated by families in need in our community. Together we can help others!

Year 1 African Drumming Incursion! What an incredible day our Year 1 students had exploring the vibrant world of African drumming! The children had so much fun learning rhythms, playing together, and experiencing the joy of making music as a group. Drumming is a wonderful way for young learners to develop coordination, listening skills, and teamwork while expressing themselves creatively. The smiles and laughter said it all – our students absolutely loved it! A huge thank you to our visiting drummer Lucky for bringing such energy and enthusiasm to our school!

Today, our Year 5 students took part in their Leadership Day as part of their preparation for Year 6. We prayed together, listened to inspiring speakers from JPII about what makes a good leader and participated in a variety of workshops to develop leadership skills. A wonderful day to launch our leadership journey!

Student mobile phone use will be banned across 80 Western Sydney Catholic schools from the beginning of the 2026 school year. The restriction presents a positive opportunity to enhance student outcomes, both in academic excellence and wellbeing.
